Miwako Van Weyenberg is a Belgian-Japanese director and screenwriter. In 2014, she won the VAF Wildcard with her RITCS bachelor graduation project Hitorikko. In 2015 followed her master graduation project Il Faisait Noir, and in 2017 short film Summer Rain, which was nominated in Cork and Thessaloniki, among other international film festivals.
She then dove into her first feature film, Soft Leaves, which will have its world premiere at IFFR 2025 in the Big Screen Competition. The release is scheduled for March 2025.
