Gwen Sainte-Rose + Sans Âge

Les Troglodytes invites you to retreat into your personal cave and care for yourself and others through the living arts in a cozy atmosphere. Join us at 3 PM for a performance followed by a concert. Sit, lie down, or stand on the floor, on cushions or rugs, wrapped in a blanket with a herbal tea if you’d like. Les Troglodytes is the perfect way to relax and immerse yourself in the performing arts. An event co-programmed by Eve and Léa, with love.

Gwen Sainte-Rose (BE)

Sainte-Rose is the name of a town in Guadeloupe, a French colony, and also the name Gwen inherited from her Martinican father. Growing up, Gwen was surrounded by two vibrant musical cultures and a unique, rich family background. Coming from a modest working-class family, she was encouraged to take up the cello as a child.

Although her training was classical and conventional, Gwen enjoys exploring artistic versatility and the fringes of tradition. She composes pieces for cello, synthesizers, and loop stations, such as Collines, Westende, and BRASSsss—immersive soundscapes that create powerful and sensitive sensory journeys. A passionate advocate for sound and social justice, Gwen directed her first radio documentary, Ne pleure pas (2023), which addresses the issue of child abuse. Alongside directing, she also composed the music and designed the sound effects.

Sans Âge (be)

Sans Âge brings together Brussels musicians Ugné Vilyaudaité and Arthur Chambry.

Inside, strings are strummed, cheeks are puffed out, wind seeps in, each element tautens and then moves into a frenzy. The violin finds the company of cobbled-together instruments, this whole fragile world is intensely alive, relentlessly in motion.
