BANDITI A ORGOSOLO (1961) was the feature film debut of Italian maestro Vittorio De Seta, following after his celebrated series of short documentaries about daily life in impoverished southern Italy. De Seta enlisted the help of local farmers as actors. For them, the fictionalized cycle of violence, injustice and revenge was already a generational reality.
