NTGent XS (eXtra Space)

NTGent XS is a residency to the rhythm and beat of a new generation of creators.

For four weeks, selected young makers share the search for their artistic voice and the story they want to tell. They express themselves in words, images, movements, and other media that (should) find refuge under the overarching theatre concept, without having to meet the expectations of a full-fledged performance in the process.

​

Every day they meet at NTGent Minnemeers, where they focus on their discipline and research. They do not bring their work and worlds together until the last week of the residency. Whether they clash in their fragility or fuse in their individuality, it promises to be a surprising and uncompromising whole in which every element (yes, including you) is equally valid. At the end of November, the makers show the result of their (harmonious) clash.
