Since 2003, Jazz Re:freshed has been a renowned London-based label and concert organizer. At the request of the Brussels Jazz Festival, they are curating the final evening, entirely dedicated to young British talent. For this double bill, they chose the vibrant energy of drummer Jas Kayser and bassist Daniel Casimir, both of whom have already released albums on the label. The young drummer Jas Kayser repeatedly impresses the audience with her virtuosic and rhythmic drum performances—no wonder Lenny Kravitz invited her for recordings and concerts. She is also known for her collaborations with Sons of Kemet and Alfa Mist. The same dynamism is found in bassist and composer Daniel Casimir and the artists he invites on stage.
