Ottla is a bird that not only sings beautifully, but also flaps and squawks powerfully. Also known as a band Bert Dockx formed to play together as a one-off in honour of the 25th anniversary of the Jazz Lab concert series. Now Ottla is back with its follow-up, called Vogel (release date 12 April 2024). The window flies open, the sun burns. Fluttering and wailing in jazz-improv-electro-noise-prog-afro-blues-groove-punk-krautrock, Ottla, true to its Kafkaesque nature, transforms again and the quartet begins to develop the compositions further with an even richer language.
