We say goodbye our whole lives.

We do it with noise, knocking, and chatter. We do it in silence. We tuck snacks into your pocket. We run alongside the train. We wave until you're out of sight. We slip into a room to avoid the fuss—

Only to send you twenty photos of trees and telephone poles.

​

We say: “Hurry up, you’ll miss your bus.”

But what we really mean is: “I’m going to miss you terribly.”

​

In JUST A QUICK WAVE (14+), a mother and daughter take the stage with a collection of goodbye conversations and rituals between parents and children.

Most of the time, they say farewell to see each other again soon.

But sometimes, it’s forever.

​

Do mother and daughter cling tighter to each other with every wave,

or do they dare to plant their feet firmly on their own ground?
