Lefto Early Bird’s passion for music, dance, and art comes together in an unexpected way in the dance performance Motherless Father (in Movement). The world-renowned DJ and producer created a unique sound for this project, blending jazz, club, and spiritual music. After extensive touring and traveling, he found time during the various lockdowns to create this impressive dance performance in collaboration with Isabelle Clarençon, Joffrey Anane, Rashad Zangaba, and Kassy Bondoko. The music from this performance can be heard on the album Motherless Father, released through Gilles Peterson's Brownswood label.
Support comes from the Leuven-based trio Bruno x Soet x Moene, known for their infectious mix of jazz, funk, and jungle.

Over the past 30 years, Lefto has curated and hosted more than 50 nights at Democrazy as one of our resident DJs, featuring high-profile guests such as Hudson Mohawke, Floating Points, Robert Glasper, Hiatus Kaiyote, MF Doom, Jordan Rakei, Makaya McCraven, Sampa The Great, Suicideboys, and more.
This time, we’re heading into the night with Lefto at Club Wintercircus, joined by Coco María. Her selection promises a joyful and eclectic mix of samba, charanga, and cumbia, along with rare gems from sunny, far-off places. Jazz, soul, and boogie are also part of Coco's DNA and are never left out of her DJ sets.
