Lucas & Arthur Jussen
09/02/2024
Brotherly love can run deep with Arthur & Lucas Jussen who share both life stages and piano keyboards from an early age. As part of their repertoire at Flagey they will perform pieces by Mozart and Debussy, with the highlight of the evening being a recital of their personal favourite, the Suite No. 2 for two pianos by Rachmaninoff. Four hands, one single evening; a bargain!

The pianist Yaron Herman undergoes a metamorphosis through his album release Alma (2022), an intimate listening experience with spontaneous twists of improvisation. On the one hand, his strong trait remains in his progressive and modern approach embedded in jazz sensibilities. On the other hand, guided by his inner world without confinement, his work becomes symptomatic of an attempt to free the spirit.

Anna Vinnitskaya

Anna Vinnitskaya's international journey commenced with the award of the first prize at the Concours Reine Elisabeth in Brussels in 2007. In her dance of solitude, Anna Vinnitskaya weaves the melodies of Schumann's Carnaval Op. 9 with the whimsical Zirkustänze of Jörg Widmann, a modern minstrel enamoured by his admiration for Schumann's artistry. Her performances and sound rides like a summer day breeze in a rural setting, calm yet jovial, evocative yet timeless.

Anna Vinnitskaya & OPRL

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège, alongside Anna Vinnitskaya, presents Sergei Rachmaninoff's debut Piano Concerto, crafted by the composer at the tender age of 18. Followed by two equally other-worldly experiences: Aladdin by Denmark's Carl Nielsen that would undoubtedly transpose you to the thrilling realms One Thousand and One Nights and the grandiose landscapes of the Lieutenant Kijé’s film score composed by the Russian virtuoso Prokofiev.
