In a Constant State of Shapeshifting: Jazz at Flagey
From the early days of its development, jazz had a distinct charm rooted in African, Latin and European sensibilities with its origin tracing back to New Orleans, Louisiana. Now, you don't have to travel overseas to experience it–the magic is coming to you at the Brussels Jazz Festival in Flagey. In this ‘tour de force’ we are about to learn that jazz is in a constant state of shapeshifting while also maintaining its essential rhythms and enchantment. From the pure and tasteful forms of jazz brought by Rosa Brunello, to the experimental compositions mastered by Casimir Liberski, Roman Hiele and Tolouse Low Trax–at Flagey the amplitude of jazz will reveal itself as limitless.
